Boatyard Manager

Specially designed for busy marina boatyard facilities, this module enables marina teams to select products, services and resources associated with the Boatyard and build works orders for individual jobs. There is a built-in quotation generator to facilitate customer approval before the works commence. Our scheduler allows you to assign time slots for each individual task to be carried out as part of the works order.
Daily job lists for boatyard operatives can be generated and printed detailing the tasks to be carried out during the day. A diary view of all or specific resources can also be viewed at any time allowing for better scheduling and management of new and existing jobs, ensuring you maximize your ROI for manpower and plant. There is also a powerful reporting section offering many combinations of reports to help with follow-ups, contacting customers and tracking jobs.

Waiting List Manager

Havenstar’s waiting list feature enables you to maintain a list of future customers waiting for berthing at your marina. These future customers can be classified in different ways according to their requirement and easily converted to a customer when applicable. Within the feature there is an option to automatically charge a waiting list application fee and limit the number of offers made to a prospective customer. Once an offer is accepted a boat record is created and the contract screen presented to complete the setup.

Fuel Manager

Havenstar is fully HMRC compliant as regards regulations for the sale of Marine Diesel (UK) (Gas Oil) and the need to declare usage on purchase. Within this screen, operations are broken down into three main sections: Stock Management which allows you to record delivery and dip reading, Price Management for flexibility on price margins and Reporting. Our system handles all your reporting and HMRC submission needs by enabling a split in the charge and calculating the appropriate fuel duty.

Direct Debit Manager

Havenstar’s flexible billing engine allows you to set-up payment plans of any frequency for your Contract Customers. Invoices can be issued by email or printed and posted. Our Direct Debit Module supports variable payments and you’ll be able to send out advanced payment notifications electronically. With the optional V series for validation of sort code and account numbers together with AUDDIS to send data electronically to the banking system this is a powerful tool to manage DD collections.


Electronic Point of Sale is custom-designed for marina businesses and fully integrated into Havenstar’s database. It offers many marina-specific features such as Visitor Payment and Fuel Sales and all of the products and services available from Havenstar itself. EPoS is designed for busy receptions, fuel docks and smaller chandleries where speed of transaction processing is essential.

Havenstar incorporates a Service Module to provide a number of levels of meter-reading support. In its basic form, the Service Module enables manual recording of a meter reading for each service, such as water or electricity, and then automatically generating the invoice lines based on the actual number of units used. Havenstar also offers full integration with a number of leading metering solution providers. This provides for easy remote control of the flow of water or electricity as well as the recording of meter readings.

Security – Net2 Access

With security of customers’ property a high priority Havenstar provides integration to Net 2 to control access to pontoons and facility or club buildings within the marina complex.


Havenstar includes comprehensive built-in reports covering financial management, aged-debt, daily operational tasks and occupancy. Additional reports can be created to suit your individual business needs.

Dockside Manager iOS App

A mobile solution that runs on iPads and includes a number of features including Boat Arrival, Move Boat, Depart Boat, Dock Walk and Meter Readings.

Loyalty Scheme

Havenstar can be configured to support a multitude of loyalty schemes enabling you to reward your long-standing Customers and attract new business. As an example, Havenstar incorporates the ability to include ‘free visitor’ nights across multiple marinas within a group.


Designed to assist managing external contractors working with your marina environment the Contractors module stores records as part of the database and allows you to record visits to individual vessels.

To speed up data entry we link Havenstar to a Postcode/Address database. This returns address options showing house number and street etc.

Graphic Interface

Havenstar provides high quality interactive graphical overviews of your marina or boatyard with an overlaid grid dividing the area into small zoom-in sections. The system incorporates all wet and dry marina facilities including berths, moorings, hard-standing, dry stack, shops, flats, parking, etc. Vessels moored in the marina or stored in the dry stack area are visible on the graphic with the ability to perform a variety of functions with just a few clicks. For example: raise a visitor payment, amend or create residential contracts, charge for products or services and much more.

Bookings Manager

Havenstar’s Bookings Manager lays out the features needed to create, search, amend and delete a booking. Berthing availability is shown throughout the booking process and Customers can receive either a hard copy booking form or directly via email. You can also raise a bill and take a deposit on any booking agreed. The bookings diary view shows at a glance all bookings for any given period.
